If you would like to arrange an appointment to speak to your child's class teacher please contact the school office on 0161 445 6359 or email the school office at admin@st-catherines.manchester.sch.uk and they will arrange a mutually convenient time.

Homework & Spelling
Spellings will be tested on a Wedensday so please try to spend five minutes each night practising these rather than one mad rush on an evening. Results will be sent home on a seperate spelling slip, please note that the highlighted words are the words that the children have spelt incorrectly.

Any additional homework will be posted on the Year 2 Google Classroom on a Friday. Homework should be returned on the following Wednesday and completed in pencil. We also ask when SATS books are sent home, that the children complete only the assigned pages.

Reading
Each night, Year 2 children are expected to read at home. They will come home with two books on a Monday which need to be returned on Friday.  Please remember to record their daily reading into their reading record, recording the book name/page number and a brief summary of any challenges they may have encountered.

Uniform
Please can we make sure that ALL clothing (including PE kits) and water bottles are clearly labelled. On P.E. days, please ensure your child wears their P.E. kit to school.  Childrens hair should be tied up and for health and safety reasons children are not permitted to wear earrings to school.

Medical
Please inform us if your child has any medical needs. If your child suffers from Asthma please ensure that you have provided the class teacher with an additional inhaler and instructions of how to administer.  Please remember we are a nut free school!

We have an open door policy and are always happy to answer any concerns, queries or questions you may have, so please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

Thanks for your cooperation and support.
