Prospective Parents
A Warm Welcome to St. Catherine's
Choosing the right school for your child is such an important decision, and we are delighted that you are considering St Catherine’s RC Primary School.
At St Catherine’s, we are incredibly proud of our warm, caring and welcoming community. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel happy, safe, valued and excited to learn. We know that children thrive when they feel they truly belong, and getting to know and care for each individual child is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Mission
As a Catholic school, our faith is central to our identity and shapes the way we learn, work and care for one another.
Inspired by our patron saint, St Catherine of Siena, our school mission is:
“Be who God wants you to be and so set the world on fire.”
This is our ambition for every child. We want our pupils to discover their talents, grow in confidence and develop the knowledge, skills and character they need to make a positive difference in the world.
Our six core values of Respect, Love, Perseverance, Faith, Compassion and Inspiration underpin school life, alongside our commitment to putting our faith into action.
Helping every child to flourish
A key part of our school vision is to “shape the whole child.”
For us, education is about so much more than academic achievement. We want our children to achieve highly, but we also want them to become confident, independent, compassionate and resilient young people.
Alongside high-quality teaching and learning, we provide children with a wide range of experiences and opportunities to discover their interests, develop their talents, find their voice and create wonderful memories of their primary school years.
We are also extremely proud to be a Gold Rights Respecting School, where children’s rights, dignity and voice are an important part of everyday school life.
Come and see St Catherine’s for yourself
A website can give you a glimpse of our school, but we believe the best way to discover what makes St Catherine’s special is to come and experience it for yourself.
We warmly invite prospective families to visit us, meet our staff and children, explore our school and Early Years provision, and find out more about what life at St Catherine’s could look like for your child.
We currently have a small number of places available across the school, including in our Nursery, so please do get in touch if you are looking for a place for your child. You do not need to wait for one of our formal open events – we are always happy to arrange a tour or meet with prospective parents to answer questions and tell you more about our school.
You can also take a look at our Facebook page to see St Catherine’s in action – from learning and faith to trips, celebrations, special events and all the everyday moments that make our school community so special.
We know that choosing a school means choosing the community that will help shape some of the most important years of your child’s life. It would be a privilege to welcome your family into ours.
We would love to meet you and show you around.
Warmest wishes,
Mrs Quiligotti
